|Notorious B.I.G. – A Close second to Pac|
|7||Josh Donaldson||Blue Jays||3B|
|Slick Rick – THE O.G.
|Ice Cube – NWA, Westside Connection, Solo|
|16||Rafael Devers||Red Sox||3B|
|17||Eduardo Nunez||Red Sox||2B/SS/3B/OF|
|25||Yoan Moncada||White Sox||2B/3B|
|Riff Raff, Alchemist, Action Bronson – The Future is Now|
Keep in mind that Freddie Freeman only started 16 games at 3B in 2017 so in leagues with a minimum of 20 starts, he will not be 3B eligible. Move everyone up a slot and add Jake Lamb into the #12 slot if you remove Freeman.
Jose Ramirez over both Donaldson and Bryant might sound a little crazy but I like his skills at the plate and his relatively high floor. I hear a lot about significant regression regarding his power but take a look at all 29 of his HRs in 2017 over-layed at Progressive field. He’s got power to all fields and may have only hit a cheap ones.
His average exit velocity in 2017 was over 88 mph and had 521 batted ball events! I’ll take a .300 hitter with a 23-15 floor hitting in the middle of one of the better lineups in the AL all day.
Enough about how much I love Ramirez, I’ve pointed out how much I love Bregman in this sleeper post. I have him within six spots overall of Bryant. I think hitting in the #2 slot in the Astros lineup gives him similar counting stats to Bryant with five or so less HR but more steals. Adrian Beltre is a steal right now, he’s going outside 100 overall probably because he’s 38 but when he was healthy, he was a top five 3B last year. I have him around 80-90 in my ranks currently. I can’t endorse Jake Lamb (who just missed my top 12 sitting at 13), he has now had two seasons in a row where he absolutely bombed in the 2nd half. He also has the inability to hit lefties, career .159 hitter against lefties with 10 HR in over 350 PA. He kills right handers so he’s been able to finish near 30-100 in 2016 and 2017 but I’ll take the under for both in 2018. It’s possible he sits more against left handers reducing his counting stats, or he continues to play against lefties and becomes a 25-28 HR 90 RBI with a .240-.250 average drain type player. I won’t take him inside the top 100 (current ADP mid-80s.
